Jaimie Alexander ‘knocked out a producer’ when he tried to untie her swimsuit

This story is already a day old, but I wanted to talk about Jaimie Alexander’s new show too. Here she is with her stunt double, and those are always the coolest photos. Jaimie will take her first leading lady turn on Blindspot, which sounds like a Memento knockoff. Her character wakes up naked and has to find clues in her full-body tattoos, so it’s going to be a hot mess. NBC is counting on showing as much skin as possible without getting in trouble with the censors, and the tattoo gimmick will run thin very fast. Can’t see them maintaining decent storytelling past a season or two, but maybe Marvel fans will show up for Lady Sif with sex-ay tattoos. I can’t even imagine how much time it takes to apply all that fake body art before every day of shooting, and Jaimie’s stunt double has to go through it too.

Jaimie sat down with People to promote the show, and she dropped a little story about how she once kicked some pervy producer butt:

Jaimie Alexander plays a skilled fighter on Blindspot, but the actress has also found use for her stage fighting skills off-camera as well.

“I’ve knocked out a producer before,” the Thor actress, 31, says in the lasted issue of PEOPLE.

Not that Alexander, whose new NBC drama premieres Sept. 21, is advocating violence.

“It was at this huge work-related party,” Alexander says of the incident. “He tied to untie my swimsuit. He was really short. I twisted around and my elbow caught his eye and busted it up.”

And the payback didn’t stop there for Alexander, who is engaged to actor Peter Facinelli.

“He was really mad and then he got fired from the company he was at,” she says. “He learned his lesson. That was pretty awesome.”

That’s a pretty awesome story, and I’m betting this was before Jaimie landed her Marvel stints. Some male producers (and directors) think they can get away with anything with actresses. Good for Jaimie for letting this guy know he can’t do whatever he wants just because he controls some purse strings.

Anyway, this show looks like a mess, and I wonder when Jaimie and Peter Facinelli will tie the knot. Jennie Garth got engaged not too long after Peter and Jaimie put a ring on it. Then Jennie ran to the altar fast, almost like it was a competition. Maybe it was.
