After that, he joined the band “Van Halen” with David Lee Roth and he was a lead guitarist with Billy Sheehan on bass and former drummer Maynard Ferguson.

The member help him release his debut album Eat ‘Em and Smile on July 7, 1986, which was a successful album and reached four on the Billboard 200. The album sells over two million copies.
