Kathy Griffin claims she’s “the Susan Boyle of bikini bodies”
Kathy Griffin sees her “banging” body as an until-recently undiscovered treasure. While I’m all for taking pride in one’s body, Griffin seems a little over-the-top, Paris Hilton-style in love with hers. Especially for a woman who’s had as much cosmetic surgery as Griffin has. She claims she’s “always had a banging bikini body,” but several years ago she went on Oprah to talk about her cosmetic surgery upgrades, which she said included a lot of liposuction. So how are we defining “always” here?
Griffin recently did a bikini spread for OK!, and compares the public discovering her bod at the age of 48 to the discovery of “Britain’s Got Talent” phenom Susan Boyle.
Kathy Griffin says it was worth the wait to see her bikini bod.
“The internets are a-blazed! I’ve always had a banging bikini body and I just now decided to reveal it at 48,” the comic told Usmagazine.com at the GLAAD Awards in L.A. Friday night.
“I am like the Susan Boyle of bikini bodies,” she joked, comparing herself to the 47-year-old, never-been-kissed Britain’s Got Talent sensation.
Griffin — who normally mocks the famous — had nothing mean to say about Boyle.
“I think she should get a slight eyebrow makeover — like a manscape — but nothing else,” Griffin advised. “I love her almost exactly the way she is.”
Griffin’s been hanging with new BFF Paris Hilton — currently dating Lauren Conrad’s ex, Doug Reinhardt.
“We have a lot in common and have a lot to talk about, and soon you will probably be see me banging someone from The Hills!” she said. “With this body, how could I not?”

Body confidence is good. Body whatever-narcissistic-disease-Paris-Hilton-has is not. Somehow anyone talking about how hot they think they are really rubs me the wrong way. I can be a devoted fan, but if someone waxes on about how attractive they think they are, I’m out. Actually, I don’t think the Paris link should be totally discounted here. Kathy and Paris have been spending a lot of time together lately. I think that would either drive a person to commit mass acts of violence, or you’d adapt and get a super-inflated ego too. Really, all things that grate on your nerves can be traced back to Paris. If you try hard enough.
