Gwyneth Paltrow wears light-wash mom jeans to fashion show

These pictures make me so happy. Though I loathe the Goop, even I have to admit that Gwyneth Paltrow’s fashion sense is usually pretty amazing (with some notable exceptions). But, oh, how the mighty have fallen! You know what’s worse? Gwyneth actually wore these light-wash, clam-digging monstrosities to her “good friend” Stella McCartney’s fashion show in Paris. Did Stella design this sh-t? Or did Gwyneth just pair a Stella jacket with her K-Mart mom jeans? I seriously think I had those jeans when I was a kid. And yes, they were from K-Mart.

I would like the jacket, but those shoulder pads look massive. I realize that’s the trend this season, but fashionistas don’t have to be such lemmings. The power-shoulder doesn’t look good on most women, and Gwyneth is most women. I suppose I should say something nice… I could say something about Gwyneth’s hair, but she needs to get her roots done. Her hair’s a good length, though. It looks like she’s growing it out. I like her better with long(er) hair. Sigh… I just can’t get past the mom jeans.

Compare this to the Ungaro show, where the biggest “get” was Lindsay Lohan and her crack pipe. Too bad Gwyneth didn’t show up at Ungaro – she actually would have looked great compared to that crap.
