Do Steve and Nancy get back together in Stranger Things season 4? (Spoilers)
Stranger Things has finally returned to answer all of our burning questions. Season 4 volume 1 introduced us to new characters and storylines, and one of the biggest questions going into season 4 volume 2 centered on Steve and Nancy’s relationship.
Prior to the release of season 4, we wondered whether there was a chance for the former couple to reunite in the new episodes, considering the fact that Nancy and Jonathan were now separated by thousands of miles across the country. In the end of Stranger Things season 3, the Byers family and Eleven moves to California, away from Hawkins, Indiana. While trouble still manages to find them on the West Coast, the distance sure puts a strain on Nancy and Jonathan’s relationship.

In the beginning of Stranger Things season 4 part 1, Nancy remains in a long-distance relationship with Jonathan, who as previously mentioned moved to California with his family, and Steve continues to be on an unsuccessful pursuit to find a girlfriend in Hawkins.
Steve still works at the video store with Robin, while Nancy keeps busy with her journalistic endeavors at school and her college plans in the near future. The exes have taken two separate paths, but their paths cross once more while getting mixed up in the Vecna hunt.
Although there’s some serious sparks rekindling between Steve and Nancy, the pair don’t officially get back together in any shape or form. Even though you could feel the heat and love between them in multiple episodes, they don’t make any moves. Their getting back together is heavily hinted at, especially by Robin and again by Eddie, but Nancy and Jonathan are still dating.
Trouble in paradise had been brewing for Nancy and Jonathan, but they reunite at the end of volume 2 and seem to be okay… for now. The couple is headed in different directions, since Jonathan isn’t sure about joining her at college and still isn’t being truthful about it. At the end of Stranger Things season 4 volume 2, Nancy and Jonathan are still together, meaning Nancy and Steve definitely don’t get back together. But there’s always season 5.
