Did Liv Tyler & Justin Theroux ‘rack up alone time on & off the set’?
Do you guys ever look at Liv Tyler’s Instagram? Go here to see it. She has a really adorable, fluffy little dog (it looks like a King Charles Spaniel) and she’s not constantly doing selfies. But! Since she went to work on The Leftovers, she’s been posting a lot of photos of her costar Justin Theroux. She’s been talking about him in interviews too, telling Andy Cohen that she was “distracted” by his bulge. I’m including some of her IG photos in this post.
So, what’s the big deal? Well, the tabloids are trying to make people believe that Liv and Justin might be getting “too close” and it’s driving Jennifer Aniston crazy. I heard those rumors months ago and I even studied the body language between them at the premiere. I’m not really seeing it. The basic gist:
Jennifer Aniston caught Justin Theroux with Liv Tyler, claims Life & Style. The tabloid claims Theroux has been “racking up alone time — on and off the set” with his co-star on “The Leftovers.” Their “coziness” made Aniston “explode,” says the mag.
“She went off on Justin and grilled him over the nature of his relationship with Liv,” a so-called “friend” tells Life & Style. “She seems to view Liv as the other woman — and she can’t stand her.”
The entire story seems to revolve around (1) the fact that Aniston’s ex Brad Pitt fell for his co-star 10 years ago, (2) Tyler’s recent appearance on a talk show during which she joked about seeing Theroux’s “bulge” during a scene.
A rep for Aniston says she and Theroux are totally fine, while a rep for Theroux denies the entire Tyler-centric story.
My opinion: Justin and Liv aren’t boning but they probably have a flirty, friendly relationship. I could see him having a work-crush on her, and maybe she thinks about it too. But I doubt it’s happening. Now, all that being said… I will totally believe that Jennifer freaked out about Liv. I always think of Jennifer as a pretty insecure person, so she probably hates the fact that Justin has a female friend that wasn’t pre-approved.
It should be noted that as soon as the Justin Theroux stories began heating up, Liv stepped out with a new boyfriend. She’s apparently dating a sports agent named Dave Gardner. He’s BFFs with David Beckham and sources claim Kate Moss played matchmaker for Gardner and Liv – you can see photos of them here.
