David Schwimmer ‘really angry’ Jennifer Aniston didn’t invite him to her wedding
From what I remember about the inner workings of Friends, Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer were never really that tight. Jennifer was close to Courteney Cox, of course, and she was pretty close to Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc. But it feels like Lisa Kudrow was off doing her own thing and Schwimmer was never really beloved by his coworkers (although Schwimmer did come up with the idea of negotiating their salaries as a group). So, while I was slightly surprised that Jennifer didn’t invite LeBlanc and Perry to her wedding last month, I wasn’t surprised that Schwimmer was not on the invite list. But it seems that Schwimmer was surprised!
So much for old friends! While grabbing dinner with Matt LeBlanc in Beverly Hills, a source reveals to In Touch magazine that David Schwimmer didn’t hold back when the topic of Jennifer Aniston’s Aug. 5 wedding to Justin Theroux was brought up.
“Someone nearby overheard them talking about how they weren’t invited. David was really angry,” a source says. “He said he couldn’t believe he’d been snubbed, because he was an important person in Jen’s life for 10 years.”
“[David] thought he would be the first one invited!” the source continued. “He said he’s going to plan a Friends reunion party, and Jen’s invite might just get lost in the mail!”
OMG, Friends drama. This would be big news if it was 1999 and Friends was still in production and if they really were Ross and Rachel in real life and Jennifer accidentally said “I take thee, David” during her vows. My thoughts: Jennifer had every right to include or exclude various people in her guest list. Courteney and Lisa Kudrow made the cut and none of the guys did. And that’s fine. I seriously doubt Schwimmer is really all that upset about it, but I still think LeBlanc and Perry were probably sort of hurt.
