Another season of Surviving Summer is now out! The highly anticipated second season of the teen drama takes place a year after the events of the first season. Summer has finally returned to Shorehaven, and things aren’t quite the same. However, she has new goals, and she’ll do whatever it takes to achieve them. But it won’t be easy for Summer because she has to see Ari and his new girlfriend being all lovey-dovey constantly. Oh, and we forgot to mention that Ari’s girlfriend is Summer’s new team captain. Surviving Summer has definitely increased the drama this season!

Earlier on in Surviving Summer season 1, it was obvious that something more than friendship was brewing between Summer and Ari (Sky Katz and Kai Lewins), even if they couldn’t see it themselves. When Summer arrived in Shorehaven, she and Ari didn’t really get along. Summer wanted to go back home to New York, and Ari was still recovering from his injury and trying to get back into surfing. As the season went on, they began to grow closer and form a bond, but they still didn’t quite realize they had feelings for each other.

It wasn’t until episode 9 when they were on their way to a surfing competition and almost ended up kissing. Later in the episode, they finally share their first kiss but are interrupted by their moms. Then, in the season 1 finale, they have their goodbye kiss at the airport before Summer heads back to New York. Viewers were left wondering if Summer and Ari would ever get together. Now, the second season is out, and fans get to see a continuation of their story.

But what about the actors behind the Summer and Ari characters? Is there something more than friendship between Sky Katz and Kai Lewins? Here’s everything we know about their current relationship status.

No, Sky Katz and Kai Lewins are not dating in real life. They’re only good friends and co-stars. They might have sizzling on-screen chemistry, but that’s because they’re great actors. There’s nothing more than that. If you want to see them possibly together as a couple, you may get to see this through their characters in the teen series.

It’s unclear if Sky is dating anyone at the moment. There’s a rumor going around that she could be dating actress and singer Breanna Yde, but nothing has been confirmed. Breanna is best known for her roles in the TV shows The Haunted Hathaways, School of Rock and Malibu Rescue. She also voiced the role of Ronnie Anne for seasons 1-3 of Nickelodeon’s The Loud House. It looks like Breanna is more focused on her music career at the moment.

Although we don’t know for sure if Sky and Breanna are dating, we do know that they’re at least good friends. Sky often posts TikToks together with Breanna.

Sky was previously rumored to be dating her Surviving Summer co-star Savannah La Rain in 2022. Although Sky and Savannah never publicly came out and revealed that they were together, it looks like they were dating based on a now-deleted Instagram post Sky shared on her page for Savannah’s birthday back in January 2022.

According to Cosmopolitan, Sky posted several photos and videos of her and Savannah together on Instagram, including a picture of them cuddling and holding hands as a birthday tribute. The caption to the post read, “I could write a book about how much I love you. Happy birthday Sav. i miss you insane amounts, my angel.” It doesn’t look like they’re dating anymore, though.

It appears Kai is single. He hasn’t been rumored to be with anyone nor has he shared with the world that he’s dating someone. However, he could just be a private person and choose not to share his personal life with the public. We’ve looked all over his social media accounts for any clues to who he could be dating, but couldn’t find anything. So, for now, we’ll have to believe he’s single.
