All the songs in the Netflix comedy

Metal Lords has finally premiered on Netflix, and the new Netflix original comedy film will be one of the most notable coming-of-age movies released on the streaming service this month.

It star Jaeden Martell takes the lead in the Metal Lords, joined by newcomer Adrian Greensmith who plays diehard metal fan Hunter, best friend to Martell’s Kevin. Together they plan to form a hair-splitting death metal band, compete in the Battle of the Bands and enjoy newfound popularity, worshipped like death metal gods.

But finding a third member of their band won’t be easy. Could their talented classmate and cellist Emily (Isis Hainsworth) be the person they’ve been looking for all along?

Given the premise, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Metal Lords has a rockin’ soundtrack featuring classic tunes from bands like Metallica, Judas Priest and more.

Here are all of the songs featured in Metal Lords

Some of the best musical moments include the car chase early in the movie when Kevin and Hunter try to escape their bullies to the tune of Judas Priest’s “Painkiller.” Later, we hear “War Pigs” while Kevin practices the drums and Emily researches death metal.

“Whiplash” by Metallica plays when Kevin breaks Hunter out of the wellness center, and Emily gets an awesome slow-mo entrance to the Battle of the Bands set to the tune of “I’m Broken” by Pantera.

Metal Lords also features some original songs and instrumentals written for the movie, most notably the song Skullflower performs at the Battle of the Band titled “Machinery of Torment.” Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine fame (and one of the film’s executive producers) composed the song.

Metal Lords is streaming right now on Netflix.
